The position on the road between Lucca and the Lake of Massaciuccoli is ideal for trips in the close town of art or to the well-known beaches of Versilia.
For people who love trekking and mountain bike there is the possibility of reaching picturesque villlages on the nearby hills, from which to enjoy a wonderful panoramic view: Mommio Castello, Corsanico, Bargecchia, Balbano, Pieve a Elici, Montigiano and Gualdo.
But the real attraction of the area is the beautiful little village of Massaciuccoli with ruines of the ancient Roman period. Witnesses of intense activities in ceramics that go back to the second and third century B.C. find place of honour in the municipal museum as well as the rests of baths and Roman Villas. From Massaciuccoli you can reach the panoramic points of Compignano and Aquilata Mountain walking through the wood.
On request, the owners of 'Frantoio del monte' may guide hosts through walks to the nearby hills.
For trekking lovers owners organize excurtions to the Hills of Massarosa.

The Accomodations
The Apartments were entirely restored and furnished in tuscan country style with cotto floors and ceilings of brick and beams and they are all similar for dimensions and typology of furnishing.
The only different is 'Bianchina', as it is is an independent house with a private garden and four sleeps.
Among the included services the apartments have SAT TV, Safe, wash- machine, Video entryphone, Elevator, independent Gas Heating.
The linen are changed weekly, included the pool-towels.
If booked, it's possible to use children-chairs and cradles without charge.
Animals are not allowed. |

All trough the park of the 'Frantoio' runs a flowing stream that provided the power to operate the mill. Nowadays it has been covered by a metal grill to prevent people to accidentally fall.
Our garden is completely enclosed and children can run and play without any danger.
Our swimming pool is open from May to October
and constantly watched by a bathing assistant and provided with towels, umbrellas, deck-chairs, a shower, two changing huts and a toilet .
In the nearby of the pool our guests can find sport facilities such as ping-pong table and basket.
